Tesla is rolling out an updated Model 3 and you won’t want to miss these sleek new updates.
With the new Model 3- aka the Highland on the horizon, customers are chomping at the bit to get all the latest information. What can you expect with the upgrades, where will it first be released, and what are we still waiting on? Don’t worry, we at Sell My EV got you covered with the latest details.
Exterior:
For this new Model 3, Tesla has finally changed up its exterior design. Remaining virtually the same since its release in 2017, this is a refreshing update for Tesla fans. Adding more sharpness to the body, you can expect the Model 3 to look less basic. The bubbly, rounded exterior will now be replaced with more of a solid, edgy style. The once bulbous front bumper is now sleek and perhaps the most noticeable exterior design change. The headlights are also more aggressive looking with a more narrow design. As for the back, the Tesla “T” logo will be replaced with the word “Tesla” on the rear end.
The wheels have better airflow and the sleeker exterior designs help improve the aerodynamics. What will this do for the driver? This will help keep the Model 3 to a quieter driver while in the cabin (often a complaint from Model 3 owners) and more importantly, it will help extend the range of your vehicle.
Interior:
Now for the fun and luxurious updates- the interior. Boasting new ambient indoor lighting, the Model 3 is finally becoming a bigger competitor in the interior aesthetics of the EV market. This makes your Tesla more customizable and better experience with night time driving.
The dashboard touch screen has increased in size, now at 15.4 inches. The back seat also has a screen for rear passengers to adjust the temperature and control some entertainment features. Your passengers will be happy to know that the rear seats have been improved to be a softer, more comfortable feel.
You will also notice that the turn signal is on the left of the steering wheel, so get ready to break an old habit if you have already been driving a Model 3.
Technology:
While full details of the tech features haven’t been clarified, what we do know is the speakers have increased from 14 to 17 and the speaker quality has improved, the range will be higher than ever on a Model 3 (350+ miles, but not confirmed exactly how much yet), and upgraded cameras all around including the back up camera.
What we don’t know:
Tesla is producing the Highland in China, out of Shanghai. As of right now, the first people to get access to the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Highland will be in China, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. When will the US expect to see the Highland? That is not confirmed yet. Also the details of exactly how much range you can expect are rumors at this point, but it should be over 350, likely around 400 miles of range. Price has also been held close to their chest as of yet, but it is expected to be one of their more affordable new releases.
What we do know about this launch is the Model 3 will be more desirable than ever. With product updates both visual and technological, there can be more to enjoy than the standard Tesla sedan. The EV market has grown to be rather competitive over the last few years and it appears that Tesla is keeping up with the race. So now the question for you Model 3 owners is- will you upgrade?
