Tesla continues to lower prices, should I sell?

Tesla continues to cut prices…

Tesla has just announced another price cut on its bread and butter Models the 3 and Y. This has consumers frustrated with Tesla as it is bringing down the value of their vehicle.

But the Tesla owners who are most frustrated are the ones who have been trying to sell! Imagine being a Tesla owner who has been trying to sell for months and you haven’t gotten the number you are looking for. Now you watch the market drop as you continue to wait the for the magic number to come along and BOOM. Tesla price drop! Now you are even further from your magic number.

Now you might ask- “should I sell now? Should I wait? What is the best move?”

As someone who has been buying and selling Teslas for the past 3 years, here is my opinion: I believe Tesla is making these prices more and more attractive for consumers. Thus, more people are going to buy and an increase in circulation in the Tesla market will occur. Once more Teslas circulate in the market, inventory expands, once inventory expands supply expands, once supply expands- prices drop!

In addition- the current state of high interest rates has caused vehicle demand to slow down. Without customers on the market to buy, those who are buying brand new Teslas and selling them for a profit, also known as flippers, have dispersed from the market.

Now you may be thinking Tesla Model Y and Model 3 supply is going to completely run out and the value on your vehicle will rise. Don’t hold your breath! Tesla is in the business of producing cars to the masses. They don’t just build cars- Tesla builds the machines that builds the cars! That has been their business model from day one. One day it is going to be very cheap to buy a Tesla, and if inflation continues to deflate these cars will only get cheaper.

Finally, Tesla raised prices just as quick as they are lowering them. All that’s happening is we are going back to pre-covid price levels. The goal for Tesla is to the price leader in the EV market and take market share.

So- my advice here is don’t be greedy, get a fair offer and sell your car now. To get an offer from myself or my team please visit sellmyev.com submit your information and we will reach out!
